Changing Days

Overcast skies now, with dimming light.
October now looms, within sight.
The heat cools down and the air is fresher,
And it rains, into the night.

Fires burn dead plants and garden rubbish,
and the mowing stops soon.
Some flowers are still open,
and at night, silhouetted by the moon.

Frost is starting to come.
It bites hard on the skin.
Cool nights are the norm.
The Country awaits the next storm.

It is the end of the Summer.
And folk are in appropriate clothes.
Winter meals are being prepared,
and cooking on the stove.

More and more leaves scatter the roads.
They make a good mulch for the Spring.
Each flower has new buds in May,
enjoy the displays, every day.

I enjoy writing poetry as and when I get an inspiration to do so. When I am not writing I am enjoying curry day!
