A Forest Alive

Listen to this article
Seeping water into the springs,
are running through the valleys deep.
Soaring above the forest canopy,
and me sitting in the jeep.

Full on the wings the eagles cried,
that night we came to see.
For the earth was cool on the tide,
so let the past be.
Spring is in the air once again,
so the chill wind will refrain.
Gathering speed and momentum now,
the jeep pulls into gear.
In the forest there shall remain,
the canopy shall maintain.
The forest floor a wash with colour,
as the eagles soar.
On the breeze the forest moves,
the wind pacing into the grooves.
Whistling past the jeep,
it chugs along the road in leaps!
So the day is filled again,
along the path where I had laid.
Sleeping in the crevices are flowers,
and ivy creeping up the towers.
