Silent Peace

Silent Peace
written by Katy Durnford copyright 1980
Silently the night over rides the Earth,
Slumber down in the midnight hour.
A time for resting, to build up power.
Gently caressing the frown of spent years.
Calming, soothing, smooth away the tears.
Revitalising passions that had long ago expired.
Fruitful vengeance again to reign and fuel is hired.
Morning, bright and breezy over a troubled mind.
Time to be loving, caring, resourceful and kind.
Hope and glory and peace to you I give,
Let happiness overwhelm you
and give you place to live!
